Mrs. Borseth's kids are talking about symmetry...
Kindergarten celebrates Earth Day with recycle collage.
Kinders learn about Dutch painter Piet Mondrian.
It's so much fun to discuss abstract art with Kindergartners. We talked about the primary colors (most of them have these down!) and looked at how Dutch painter Piet Mondrian used primary colors and very straight, grid-like layouts in his art. The kids glued down geometric shapes in a balanced layout and them used the edge of cardboard dipped in black to make lines around their shapes. - Very cool and graphic designs!
Kinder-Pigs!!
Kindergartners talked about FORM/SHAPE in art and we found out what happens when you combine an OVAL, 2 CIRCLES, 2 TRIANGLES, 2(or 4) RECTANGLES and one curly-que....These awesome watercolor pigs!
