5th grade Blue Dog...
Mrs. Weber's class learned about the American artist George Rodrigue - from New Orleans and famous for his Blue Dog paintings. They could put their Blue Dog in any setting but they were required to use at least 3 values of blue in their painting. The results were so bold and fun!

Birch Tree art illustrates positive/negative space -
5th graders created these beautiful paintings by first applying tape to create the negative space of the trees and painting over them with blue. Once dry, they added shadow and details which makes the trees become the positive space (that which is the subject of the art) and the blue turns into the negative space (the background).
